This is quite a new variety of jalapeno breed by the New Mexico State University. It was a programme that produced three varieties, this Yellow Spice, Lemon Spice and Pumpkin Spice, all great varieties in our opinion and each staff member seems to have their own favourite!
Yellow Spice fruits start green and ripen to a glorious orange colour and have a delicious flavour to them, with a good, punchy heat behind them.
Origin: New Mexico State University.
Heat Level: Extremely Hot - approximately 79,000 SHUs.
