The Devil's Tongue Red is a very hot pepper and measures in at around 500,000 SHU. The Devil’s Tongue grows long red pointed pods and are very similar to those of the more famous Fatalii that originates from Central Africa. The heat level of the Devils Tongue is quite a lot higher from that of the Fatalii and the flavor is also more sweet and very different. The Red Devils Tongue variety is more rare and is much hotter than it's Yellow relative. These plants will produce many very hot peppers. The origin of the Devils Tongue is believed to be from an Amish farmer that developed it in the US over 20 years ago.
