The Big Yellow Mama is a rich Yellow variant of the Big Black Mama Chilli  this chilli was bred by Troy Pimeaux. also the creator of the 7 Pot Primo. It has a much lower heat than the Big Black Mama and like other yellow types it has more of a citrus fruity flavour taste. The peppers themselves range from smooth to bumpy skin texture.
