The Fatalii is one of the few Chinense chillies with origins in Africa – the Congo to be more specific. If you’re a fan of the original yellow fatalii then we guarantee you will LOVE the rarer red natural variant version. It has a slightly tangier sweeter flavour than the yellow and the pods are a bit shorter and fatter. This strain is close to being 100% stable but there’s a tiny chance you will get a random yellow or even orange coloured fruit pop up. The plant is quite stocky for a Chinense variety and the pods are on average between 5-6 cm long and about 3cm wide. It is ‘pretty’ hot and like the yellow version it has a heat that jumps around the mouth before it quickly dissipates. Tremendously fruity and citrusy we think its just perfect for a tangy chilli sauce.
