Trinidad Moruga Scorpion 2nd hottest chilli in the world
Up untill November 2013 this chilli hald the world record for being the worlds hottest chilli pepper.
Tested by a group of experts at New Mexico State University's Chilli Pepper Institute, it was identified as the hottest chilli on planet earth
The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion produces pods about the size of a golf ball. Its truly intense heat has topped more than 1.2 million units on the Scoville heat scale, and pods from some plants manages to reached a staggering 2 million scoville heat units.
